Balaji's main character moment

Hyperinflation memes, Arbitrum airdrops & Decentralizing Zuck

GM,

We’re home from our US tour, reflecting on all the meet cutes over the past 2 weeks.

Love,

The Boys

Balaji’s Bet. Big pick-me girl energy from The Network State author and former CTO of Coinbase Balaji Srinivasan this week. He’s claiming that the banks are failing due to hyperinflation, we’re being lied to by regulators, and that Bitcoin will hit $1M per coin in the next 90 days. Some say he’s just pumping his bags. Others think it’s a worthy effort to raise awareness about the value of crypto in a banking crisis. If his prediction comes to pass, you’ll be wearing your “Balaji was right” hoodie in an underground bunker.

Tokens from Heaven. After a long season of being edged by Arbitrum, their airdrop has arrived. The blockchain has been live for awhile, but it’s now decentralizing with the $ARB token (note: be hypervigilant about scams). Over 600,000 unique wallets are getting tokens on Thursday. All layer 2s still have a ways to go in perfecting security, but this is a big step in the right direction. Check your wallet here to see if you were blessed by the airdrop Gods.

What the Zuck. Meta is reportedly developing a new decentralized social network called P92. P92 will be text-based and designed to function on a decentralized platform. Kinda sounds like Meta is going back to "Thefacebook” via 2004, but .:decentralized:.. The goal is to create a social network that is more open and transparent than traditional centralized platforms. Oddly, this news comes the same week as ‘the gram disabling NFT support. Ever heard of Lens, Mark?

Have you met our first-ever Zine? She launched last Friday, with the accompanying commemorative NFT hitting almost 85K mints. More thots here.

With writing from Steph Alinsug, Gaby Goldberg and a long-form feature on cover star Latashá, it’s the hopium you might need rn.

Love to Ledger, Lens Protocol, OpenSea and Celo for supporting this vision.
