Based Beff Jezos. Forbes doxxed formerly-anon e/acc ringleader @BasedBeffJezos, after reporters used voice forensics and web sleuthing to determine his identity. Who is the man behind the unhinged techno-optimism memes? A “gentle Canadian” and former Google X engineer, who funded his AI startup with NFT profits. The interview reveals a man who is in on the joke, acknowledging that @BasedBeffJezos is over the top, partly as a bit, “it's what gets algorithmically amplified.” Though he is very serious about accelerating AI development, and his startup Extropic has some high-profile investors like PackyM and live forever guy Bryan Johnson. Forbes is getting backlash for both the doxxing and the general tech fear-mongering. No idea what any of this is about? No stress. Stay tuned to next week’s podcast for an e/acc explainer.

Hacker Offers Job Perks. On Thursday, a hacker took down the decentralized exchange KyberSwap, draining $54.7M in assets from the protocol across multiple blockchains in what was described as a “very sophisticated attack.” The hacker is calling themselves “Kyber Director,” and has been communicating his demands via a series of erratic on-chain messages, coded in Ethereum transactions, demanding complete control over the company and DAO controlling the DEX, and stating that they’d “makeover” the DEX and double the salary of company employees. Idk why it’s giving this.

Bullish. There’s bullish, and then there’s Michael Saylor bullish. For those who aren’t familiar, Michael Saylor is the founder of MicroStrategy, an analytics and business insights company based in suburban Virginia that also happens to be the largest public holder of Bitcoin. MicroStrategy holds 174,530 Bitcoin, having purchased an additional 16,130 Bitcoins this past week. This means their treasury sits at around $6,763,002,594 at today’s prices. Go off!
