It’s fine, it’s fine. Narrator: it was not fine. SBF has officially killed CeFi. He hit full send on Goblin mode, never to return.

We can confidently say this week was the most fucked week of all time in crypto. Hiding behind a thinly veiled cape of altruism, SBF delivered a rugging so hard, so deep, that it was felt across the entire world.

What started as a public fight between two billionaires, ended with SBF getting caught with his pants down, both literally and metaphorically. Since then… Money lost, faith lost, dignity lost, SBF lost (actually just hiding in Argentina detained in the Bahamas?). The events that have transpired from Monday - Saturday could be an 11-season long HBO show. We have a character count to abide to, so for now:

What we’ve witnessed this week is a failing of centralization. It is greed and unchecked ego consolidating wealth, and siphoning value at every turn. This is antithetical to the principles of web3, and represents the opposite of pretty much everything we stand for at Boys Club.

We want to be very clear. We’re not going anywhere. We’re continuing our work to create a world where it’s not even possible for this type of thing to happen. Where the system is intrinsically transparent and immutable, individuals are self-sovereign, leadership is earned on-chain, and power can’t be bought.

In the meantime, we'll be here helping builders, giving grants, creating IRL community, being spicy and committing to the bit. We hope you’ll join us.
