Bitcoin Nashville. “Hyperbitcoinization is around the corner” is the official message from Bitcoin Magazine for their annual Bitcoin conference, held this year in Nashville, Tennessee. Inside the venue the energy is charged, with more than 20,000 reported attendees for the 3-day conference. The event feels distinctly political, with MAGA merch abound, and much anticipation for Trump’s appearance tomorrow afternoon, for which he was paid an undisclosed sum.

I’ve been in the bosom of Bitcoin Nashville for two days now, and while I’ll save the hottest takes for this weekend’s Boys Club podcast, the only way I can describe the vibe at the conference is that it’s like a faith-based community gathering, with the same zeal, ardor, and condemnation of non-believers as a religion.

To the purists, there is one God (Bitcoin) and one goal (hyperbitcoinization), fiat is “rent seeking” and all taxation is theft. But these core values are being challenged in an undeniable period of growth, which is spawning new sects and causing growing pains as the old guard tries to reconcile new entrants like the world’s largest asset manager, BlackRock.

More from the Boys in Nashville after Trump’s speech tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy the Hawk Tuah girl meeting RFK Jr at the “Karate Combat” event last night in Nashville.
