While the chatbot raked in $72,000 in its first week, subscribers started steering their conversations out of the friend-zone. As a surprise to absolutely no one, things got weird, and CarynAI was shut down for “going rogue” and saying sexually explicit things. Think of it like OpenAI’s app store, where anyone will eventually be able to build a plugin for ChatGPT, allowing it to do things like access the internet, order groceries on Instacart and get the score of the Lakers game.
