Hi,

Writing to you live and direct from Ethereum World’s Fair in Buenos Aires. A stunning city filled with purple trees that look like this.

We set up a news desk and then threw a party for 600 friends with a midnight drop for Pod.network.

See you in Miami for Art Basel? We’ll be there all week. First up for creators is our invite-only experience with Base on December 3rd. Reply to this email if that’s you and you want in.

Then on December 4th, we’re diving into the future of finance and culture at Stellar House Miami. Join us poolside for brunch, and then hang for a full day of programming.

Themes, trends, winners and losers from our week at Devconnect.

  1. Everyone is excited about agentic payments and especially x402, but no one knows what to use them for yet. Maybe we need to make more friends. Reach across the aisle as it were….

  1. There’s a heated debate about what “support” startups can expect from the blockchains on which they deploy. Are you on team David or team Jesse?

  1. Speaking of distribution, it’s all about Mini Apps. Shout out to World for killing it here. Example: SimpliFi Pay.

  2. Aave App. Deposit insurance is a big open question for all of crypto. Did Aave just solve it by offering $1M in protections for deposited funds? Folks are excited about this but also exactly HOW they’re going to do this is still unclear.

  3. Privacy. Moving toward the more pragmatic, less philosophical. Forget the Winklevoss Twins’ Cypherpunk project, check out Unlink instead, which they’re calling “Stripe for privacy.”

  1. Real scale for p2p stablecoin usage in LATAM. Look at Ripio, with 24 million customers and a huge share using it for p2p payments.

  2. The rumor mill is saying a punch was thrown at the Uniswap Cup, and that some teams hired professional athletes instead of having their own employees play. The question that we can’t help asking is…why?
