A crossover story begins. Real ones have been saying this for a while, but the “AI is also web3” story is beginning to emerge as the capabilities of AI agents starts to become more clear. Here’s the story in three parts. First, a crypto wallet that you can talk to in plain English to execute transactions like “Send Boys Club all my ETH.” Also this, “imagine an AI checking your wallet security, finding yield farms, executing trading strategies for you and more!” Reader, I am imagining this, and I am liking this. Second, AI agents running DAOs. Was always super skeptical about DAOs being ~the future of work~ but I can kind of see it now. Third, some realness that our AI overlords will have no patience for the inefficiency of the legacy financial systems. The writing, it’s on the wall.
Gov’t Fumbles. It seems that everyone is making strides towards clear regulation for blockchain technology except the US. Maybe it’s because the gov’t can’t hire for the job, as it requires staff to sell their crypto assets first. A crypto consultant who owns no crypto sounds fishy af but go off Uncle Sam.
NFTs are heating up. (Did an NFT write that headline?) An NFT trading card based on NBA player and Rookie of the Year candidate Victor Wembanyama, who I’m told is the “most hyped bball player in years,” sold for $110,000 at auction this week. This is higher than the sale of his physical trading card, which went for $67,000 in August. Also, this rock NFT sold for $209,000 on Friday. Things are moving.
