That’s showbiz baby. HBO hired an investigative journalist to uncover the identity Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. Satoshi’s anonymity is central to Bitcoin lore, and revealing their identity could pose an existential risk to crypto. Many have tried and failed to solve this mystery, and consensus is that this documentary has not cracked it.
an entire industry filled with turbo nerds couldn’t figure out who Satoshi is for the past 15 years, but yes I do believe that some journalists cracked the mystery

The documentary is being widely, roundly and hilariously mocked. HBO’s “Satoshi” is Peter Todd, a developer who wasn’t even in the running on Polymarket. Peter Todd continues to deny that he’s Satoshi.
What’s Happening. Ted Not Lasso did a wellness check on the crypto industry, and her findings were…not amazing. She looked at blockchain data pertaining to wallet addresses (up bigly), number of transactions (down), DEX volume (down), and active developers (down bad) and the TLDR is that despite a surge in new wallets, there isn’t a proportionate amount of people transacting consistently. Folks this is not FUD, it’s a reality check.
