sorry but new Bitcoin all-time high

call your mom

gm,

Big day for niche media companies whose fate is intertwined with the success and adoption of cryptocurrencies (Boys Club). Bitcoin just hit a new all-time high. Are we so back? Are we more back than ever?

Bye!

Circle IPO. Circle, the issuer of the second largest stablecoin USDC, faces a big question this week. Take the money or keep the company? Rumors are swirling that their big IPO is on ice as they consider a sale to either Coinbase or...Ripple?

This is funny of course because out-of-touch Ethereum elitists (me) think $XRP is a joke. And of course the joke is entirely on me since $XRP has been ripping and Ethereum has been not ripping (until very recently). Jokes all around. Anyway this dude’s read on the situation feels as close to the truth as I understand it. Unless ofc Ripple has ALREADY bought Circle, executing the elusive “Stablecoin Superplay,” in which case, another joke on me!

GENIUS Act. Speaking of stablecoins, Senate voted in favor of the GENIUS Act on Monday. This is the furthest a U.S. stablecoin bill has ever gone (me watching C-SPAN during the vote). The regulation requires 100% cash backing, annual audits for issuers above $50B, and limits on foreign coins. Ppl say it will cement dollar dominance and channel >$1T (T FOR TRILLION) into US Treasuries. Sixteen Democrats joined Republicans to support the bill. Nature is healing.
